I BLAME YOUR FRIENDS...NO REALLY, THEY MUST HATE YOU
While searching on the online today, I came across the pic of Tiny( T.I.'s baby momma and former Xscape member) and the only thing I could say is "I blame your friends!'"...or in Tiny's case I blame T.I!!!!!!!!!!! A million questions quickly came to mind...."What is up with the tatted boob trying to escape?" .....a million more came to mind....but seriously what is up with the (in the words of Claire Huxtable) TACKY mink stole!!!! I love when celebs wear fur, I really do...who gives a crap about PETA? And know a lot about fur (dammit I'm a furrier...don't ask) but that autumn haze (that's the name of the color) is reminiscent of my 84 yr old clients (barely breathing clients) or that fur stole hanging over my grandmothers bedroom door( I'm immediately transported back to age 4)..don't act like your grandmother did not wear fur... And why must you stand next to T.I( looking quite dapper I might add) looking like that!...OMG...did you seriously channel your inner Golden Girl!!!! You soooo look Blanchesque!!!! I hate to do it.... but Tiny, I BLAME YOUR FRIENDS!!!!!!!
BTW...on the pilot episode of Golden Girls, Blanche borrowed Dorothy's mink stole. The episode was called The Engagement. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4WF9coopuXI. (click on link to watch)
I still secretly like you Tiny just minus TACKY that stole!

Sidebar-Leah....hello, we only have 1 year! Paree, next year? Okay, let's do it!!! Shay...you too! (NO GAMES!!)

STELLA'S GROOVE
Stella McCartney opted for stand-alone pieces that can be tossed together with a cool attitude. Shapes were lean or full, at times highlighted with exaggerated shoulders. McCartney also worked with chunky cable knits, animal prints and studded knitwear on a dark palette.
GQ NAMES ANDRE 3000 "BEST NEW DESIGNER IN AMERICA"
Outkast’s Andre 3000 continues to receive accolades in his endeavors outside of the Hip-Hop realm. The rapper-turned-actor and much more has been heralded by GQ Magazine
as one of the Best New Designers in America for his prep-inspired men’s line Benjamin Bixby.
As part of GQ’s third annual search, Dre, born Andre Benjamin, was selected alongside five other designers as “a class of designers whose vision is as broad and diverse as the country itself.” Joining Benjamin Bixby are Save Khaki, Robert Geller, Yigal Azrouel, Shipley &Halmos, and Rogues Gallery.
Of the six designers selected, Andre is the only one who does not come from a strictly fashion background.
He first introduced Benjamin Bixby in February 2008, as a self-funded venture. At the time, the line consisted of about 70 pieces inspired equally by Hip-Hop’s love of prep styles in the 90s and collegefootball circa 1935.
While the line is a departure from the funky styles that became synonymous with Andre 3000 during his promotion of Outkast’s last two albums, he explains it was drawn from the same creative place, but crafted to be more accessible to consumers.
“During OutKast’s Stankonia period, I looked like I was from Mars,” Andre tells GQ. “The music was otherworldly, and my character reflected that. I wanted to put that spirit into classic clothes, but ones that people could actually wear."
In September, Benjamin entered into an agreement with upscale retailer Barney’s to offer Benjamin Bixby clothing in the U.S. exclusively through Barneys.com.
The pieces offered online run from $95.00 polo shirts to $395 sweaters,to outerwear in the $1500 price range
He definitely deserves an applause!
B MICHEAL ON CRITICISM OF MICHELLE O
For the record I would like to state that the statement made on behalf of the Black Artists Association does not represent my point of view.I understand their sensitivity and respect their right to express it.I personally believe it is an unfair expectation to place on the First Lady. Fashion is subjective and a matter of personal choice. As a designer of Color I would encourage the fashion industry, editors and media to lead the way and be more inclusive. True change in America is going to be a collective effort. As an American Designer I am excited that Mrs. Obama, in her role as the First Lady, will heighten the awareness of American style which resonates into business and jobs in the fashion industry."
I applaud Mrs. Obama for her style and her choices. Most of all for wearing what really matters, dignity and grace."

GOYARD
Wondering about Goyard... here is a little fashion history.
"The French have enjoyed leather goods from Maison Goyard since 1853. Known for quality, endurance and classic style more than bowing to the trends of the day, Goyard has been a fixture of the French luxury good scene for a long time. Today Goyard is as exclusive and chic as ever thanks to the fashion crowd that has rediscovered its charms. The unique linen, cotton and hemp canvas is covered in hand-painted dots in four colors and is nearly indestructable. Wallets and card cases for guys, bags and accessories for women and collars and dog accessories for the fashionable [pets] in your life. Bags start above $1,000. Available in the U.S. exclusively at Barney's New York; in Paris at Maison Goyard (and only a handful of other locations around the world)."

CHANEL IMAN:PAGE SIX MAGAZINE
The simply stunning Chanel Iman graces the cover of Page Six Magazine. The 18 year-old dishes about Tyra B, tattoos and boyfriends. Peep below for some snippets of the interview.
On her frustrations at the difficulties that models of color face in the industry:“It’s not just black girls.
On her frustrations at the difficulties that models of color face in the industry:“It’s not just black girls.
It’s ethnic girls in general: Brazilian girls, Hispanic. You really don’t see a lot of Asians either. A lot of designers think that if every girl on the runway looks exactly alike, then people will come to the shows and buy the clothes because they won’t be focusing on the models….It’s not even just runway either… us ethnic girls should be getting a lot of the covers too! I would love to be on half of the campaigns these [white] girls are booking, all looking exactly alike. It’s not right. It’s not fair.”
On rumors she has been involved with Kanye West, rapper Tyga, and singer-producer Ryan Leslie:

“I’m young and I’m dating. But I’m not gonna say any names. There are special people in my life but nothing serious. Just having a man in general is a job! I have one job; I can’t have a second. I’m the type of girl that if I have a man, I want to be a good girl-friend and be there for them and take care of them.”

PERSONAL STYLE
Warning!!!... Tangent: Okay, while having a conversation with a few associates, I realized people lack personal style. The thing is these are not regular people. They are all stylist!!!! Or so they say. Clothing should always be an expression of one's self. When you adorn yourself in clothing, what are you saying? Are you absolutely sure that this is the way that you want to express yourself? I believe to be an effective stylist, you must first have your own personal style. Do not focus so much on trends, but on things that really help define who you are. When focusing completely on trends, you end up with a bunch of cookie cutters or 10 million Rihannas. (Her style is really hot right now). Focus on your own personal style. Style remains constant through the years, it does not waver!!
